Business Hub Network Referral Group – Professional Code of Conduct
At Business Hub, we believe that fostering meaningful professional relationships and exchanging value among our members are the cornerstones of mutual success. To maintain a productive, respectful, and inclusive environment, we have established the following Code of Conduct:
- Commitment to Attendance and Participation Members are expected to attend weekly meetings regularly and arrive on time. Active participation in discussions, events, and group activities is essential to fostering a thriving community. If unable to attend, members are to notify the Attendance Coordinator(s) in advance and, if possible, send a substitute. Regular, consistent, and ongoing attendance is strongly encouraged for meaningful participation in the group. Under occasional circumstances, members can miss up to a maximum of 3 meetings per quarter.
- Cultivate a Spirit of Collaboration Our group thrives on collaboration, not competition. Members are encouraged to support one another, share opportunities, and work together to solve challenges. Respect for other members’ expertise and industries is paramount.
- Referrals and Lead Sharing Members should actively seek to provide qualified referrals and leads to fellow members whenever possible. The focus should be on quality over quantity, ensuring that referrals are meaningful and beneficial. It is mandatory that all referrals are logged and tracked using the Business Hub referral form. Members who receive referrals are also required to enter a dollar value for that referral in a timely manner.
- Professional Integrity and Accountability Members are expected to conduct themselves with the highest levels of professionalism and honesty that extends to all interactions with fellow members. Fulfill commitments, honour promises, and take responsibility for your actions. Uphold a reputation that reflects positively on yourself and the group at all times.
- Promote Diversity and Inclusivity We welcome members from all industries, backgrounds, and perspectives. Discrimination, harassment, or disrespectful behaviour of any kind is not tolerated. All members should feel valued and included.
- Exclusivity of Representation Membership is limited to one person per professional classification or specialty. This exclusivity ensures that each member has a unique opportunity to showcase their expertise and benefit from referrals without internal competition.
- Respect Confidentiality Discussions and information shared within the group must remain confidential unless explicitly authorized for external use. Trust is a cornerstone of our community.
- Financial Obligations Membership fees, must be paid on time. These fees help cover operational costs and ensure the smooth functioning of the group. Membership fees are due in full on June 30th of each year and apply towards the12 months following. Members who join throughout the year are required to pay their fees on joining. Those fees will be calculated on a prorated basis that covers their membership period until the next official renewal date of the upcoming June 30th.
- Commitment to Personal and Professional Growth Members are encouraged to invest in their personal and professional development. Whether through training, mentorship, or other avenues, continuous improvement benefits both individual members and the group as a whole. Members are also expected to attend and participate in all Business Hub organized events to the best of their ability to do so.
- Feedback and Accountability Constructive feedback is welcomed and encouraged. Members should feel comfortable raising concerns or suggesting improvements for the betterment of the group. Feedback, concerns, and disputes are to be directed to the Conflict Resolution Team for proper handling.
- Positive Representation of the Group Members serve as ambassadors for Business Hub. Speak positively about the group and its members, both inside and outside meetings. Represent the values and professionalism of the group in all interactions.
- Acknowledgment By adhering to this Code of Conduct, we ensure that Business Hub remains a trusted and supportive networking community where all members can thrive. Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in review and, if necessary, action by the leadership team, including possible termination of membership.
